ITZY’s Yuna Shares the Secret Behind Perfect Head Shape, Compares Mom to a Protractor
Yuna from ITZY recently delighted fans with a personal and hilarious reveal about the origin of her perfectly shaped head. In particular, on April 30, Yuna appeared in a video on the YouTube channel “yunani_bit2na”, revisiting her middle school and reflecting on her past.
As she walked the streets near her old school, the female idol reminisced, “I used to go to school here. It’s only been about five years, but it feels like ages ago.” She also shared that teachers once invited her back post-debut, causing an uproar among students.
When asked if she was popular in school, Yuna playfully responded, “There were no boys’ schools nearby, and back in elementary, the ideal type of boys was usually quiet and cute people. I was more loud and bold, so I didn’t really fit that mold.” The female idol also added that she wasn’t popular back then, since kids preferred friends who were plain.
The most amusing moment came when Yuna’s mother unexpectedly joined her at a local snack shop. Talking about Yuna’s childhood dreams, her mom revealed that Yuna once wanted to be a show host, announcer, or even a glamorous comedian, never imagining her daughter would become a global K-pop star.
As they laughed and chatted, Yuna shared an adorable story, stating, “My mom used to lay me down at different angles as a newborn like using a protractor just to shape my head perfectly round.” Her mom also admitted to starting the technique immediately after Yuna was born, unlike in the case of Yuna‘s older sibling, who didn’t get the same treatment.
Yuna laughed, calling it “Mom’s touch!” as she tilted her head to show off the results.
